Question:
Hello, I installed Putcos Quick Connect Harness #529004 and Red Blade #92010-60 on my 2016 F-350 6.2L. A few minutes into travel I receive Error Messages: “Trailer Connected” then immediately either Right or Left trailer turn lamp has a fault replace bulb where I will get the fast flasher. Eventually I get a message “Trailer Disconnected” then the flasher is fine again. Then all is well for a bit, then the whole process repeats itself. So annoying! Curiously I do not get the errors when my trailer is electrically connected. Any recommendations? Thank you,

Expert Reply:
The light bar # P92010-60 doesn't have quite enough of an amperage draw to convince your truck's wiring that a trailer is connected but it can sense some additional draw so it essentially is confused.
What you can do is use load resistors like part # DI34ZR installed on the left and right turn/stop circuits to simulate the additional load to get rid of the error messages.
