Question:
what should this be torqued to?
asked by: Ron
Helpful Expert Reply:
Equalizer bolts, like the TruRyde Wet Equalizer Bolt, # TRFA71063, should be torqued to yield. Equalizer bolts are not given a specific torque rating because they should allow some movement of the equalizer. If they are torqued down too tight, the equalizer will have difficulty moving and that could bind up your trailers suspension.
Simply tighten the bolts down until they are tight, but still allow the equalizer to move.
Keep in mind, the cotter pin is not included with this bolt. The cotter pin that you will want for this bolt is part # 165649.
