We do have a receiver that is custom fit for your 2018 Cadillac XT5 but the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98865 will not. It is only confirmed to fit the 2005 - 2017 Chevrolet Equinox, 2010 - 2017 GMC Terrain, 2006 - 2009 Pontiac Torrent, and 2002 - 2007 Saturn Vue.
I recommend the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e62AR for your Cadillac XT5. This will work on all trims with the exception of the Platinum Trim. It is rated for a maximum tongue weight of 750 lbs and a maximum trailer weight of 5,000 lbs which increases to 6,000 lbs with a weight distribution hitch. You will need to check your owner's manual to see the capacities for your XT5. If they are lower than the hitch, you will need to abide by the lower limits.
The Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118720 will give you a 4-way flat connector that can be used on most small trailers and Auxiliary Lights # C53201 if using a bike rack or cargo carrier that will block the view of your tail lights.
For larger trailers that require a 7-way the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118276 will give you a 7-way blade connector.
