Will K Source Or Longview Custom Towing Mirrors For 2021 GMC Canyon Be Less Vibration On Highway?

Updated 10/13/2026 | Published 10/10/2026

Question:

I previously purchased a similar product - LV97RR - and the mirrors in the extension moved during travel. Obviously, thats not what anyone would want. Will the mirrors on the KS99NQ stay in place once they are adjusted to their preferred/exact location? The instructional video states that they are easily adjusted but are they TOO easily adjusted? Thanks in advance...

Hey Bob!

Sorry you're having those issues on the Longview custom towing mirrors # LV97RR. It's possible you got a defective set since those tow mirrors shouldn't be easily adjusted by the highway wind. That said, I do see a couple reviews stating the same thing, but I don't see any of those reviews for the K-Source Snap & Zap Custom Towing Mirrors - Snap On # KS99NQ so it might be a bit sturdier on the highway.

Either way, both brands are usually very good so it's hard to say if the K Source will actually be better or not. As I said, it's very possible you got a bad set and you could call into our CS to return/refund those 1-800-940-8924.

These mirrors are conveniently easy to attach and remove. They offer a wider angle view of the trailer, though they do require some time to properly set up and adjust.

Hi Bob, Unfortunately, the first trip worked great. Then, sadly, the mirrors did shift every time we were on the highway. I eventually taped the outer corner in place - lost a little vision but at least it stayed better. Susan

It depends on what you mean by move. The K-Source mirrors vibrated a lot making it hard to see clearly while in motion, but their position didn’t move. At moderate speeds, they stayed put and were a big improvement over stock Colorado mirrors. At highway speeds, there was a lot of vibration.

I purchased these for our Colorado to increase visibility to the sides and rear when towing our small (~16 foot) camper. They worked very well and gave me an extra safety margin when turning and changing lanes. I utilized them on a 2,000 mile round trip at interstate highway speeds and through a variety of weather and cross-winds. They performed well and did not need any additional adjusting once the focus area was initially established. I also left them on the vehicle for an additional 9 months for local driving within a city area. The only thing that stood out for this period was needing to adjust for additional clearance (without a camper in tow) when pulling through fast food drive thru windows. I believe the product was well worth the purchase price.
