Although this rack isn’t confirmed to fit this car, I think it’ll work. Please look at this picture and let me know if you see any reason why we shouldn’t proceed with our plans to use it?

I do not see any issue with fitment from the photo you attached, however, I spoke with Saris and they claim that the Saris Bones 2 Bike Rack - Trunk Mount # SA805BL is not a fit for the 2018 Ford Explorer. So while it may work fine for you, I cannot recommend using it on this vehicle since it has not been tested on our end either.
For a trunk-mounted bike rack that is a fit for your vehicle, I would look at the Yakima Full Back 2 Bike # Y02634. This is a very easy to use 2-bike carrier that is very popular among cars and small SUV's with factory spoilers like yours. Keep in mind, you may need to use an adapter bar such as # RRRBCA021 if you plan to transport women's, children's, step-thu, or other oddly shaped bikes.
