Yes, if you are mounting the Brophy D-Ring Tie Down Anchor # DR01 to the frame of your trailer you will not need to use the Backing Plate # BP1D.
The Backing Plate # BP1D is designed to provide a stable base when mounting to wood decking by having a large surface area to distribute the weight across the board.
