Question:
I have a 2020 Ram 2500 with a 2 1/2 inch receiver. Also a Apex 293 RLDS Travel Trailer. Specs on the trailer are: GVWR 7800 lbs., tongue weight unloaded is 832 lbs. Obviously the loaded weight would exceed the 1000 lb. package, so I need advice as to which to purchase. I would like to purchase the Blue Ox Sway Pro, also considering TrackPro. Want a 2 1/2 Shank and would like your input on the two products and part numbers to order each.

I recommend the Blue Ox Sway TrackPro System item # BLU27FR. The Blue Ox Sway Pro item # BXW1500 you were searching is over-rated for your trailer and you'll have an stiff and uncomfortable ride. The TrackPro System is rated for up to a 1300 lbs hitch weight and will be a smoother ride when hauling your Apex 293 RLDS Travel Trailer. I have attached a review video on the TrackPro System and also attached a couple of links on weight distribution systems.
Both systems come with a shank that fits 2" hitches and offers up to an 8" rise and a 2" drop. None of the Blue Ox weight distribution systems in this capacity range come with 2 1/2" hitch's so you will need to either purchase a reducer or Blue Ox 2 1/2" shank. I recommend the Blue Ox Track Pro Weight Distribution Shank for 2-1/2" Hitches item # BLU26FR. This shank has 9 adjustment holes for attaching the head assembly which allows you to level your trailer.
If you're going the adaptor route, I recommend the Curt Reducer Sleeve 2-1/2" to 2" item # C45405. This reducer sleeve is compatible with weight distribution systems.
