Question:

I want to tow 2 different cars. I have 1 quick disconect cross bar. Can I take out the cross bar so the tow bar will fit either car ? I have 2 Sterling all terrain tow bars.

Expert Reply:

You will need to have the crossbar for support when using your Sterling tow bar so it cannot be taken out of the equation. However, you can get a second crossbar, # 910021-00, that you have referenced and leave it on the other vehicle when not flat towing it. Then you would just un-pin the arms of the crossbar from the vehicle and pin them to the other vehicle to flat tow it.

Since you also have 2 Sterling tow bars you should not need any additional parts unless you are missing the crossbar and quick disconnects. You can replace both with the replacement crossbar you referenced or if just the bar is needed use # RM-067. Or if just quick disconnects are needed use # RM-201.
