Question:
Hello, I have a TT that came with 205/75/15 size tires. Im looking to replace the stock steel wheels which are 15x5 but many of the after market wheels are 15x6 or rather there seems to be more variety with a 6inch wheel. The 205 tire will fit a 15x6 wheel but is it ok to size up on wheel width when considering the trailer?

Upgrading to a wider wheel is a pretty common thing to do as there tends to be more aluminum options in the 15 x 6 wheels. The only real issue that comes up is spacing from the sidewall of the tire to the inside of the fender or frame. As long as putting a wider wheel, like the Aluminum Sendel Series T02 Machined Trailer Wheel - 15" x 6" Rim - 5 on 4-1/2 # AM22653, keeps at least 1 1/2 inches of space, you will be good to go.
I usually tell people to make sure they also have at least 3 inches of space from the top of the tire to the bottom of the fender as well, but as you are not going with a larger tire, this won't be an issue.
