What is the difference between the AM90049 and the 12CLN-L ?

Other than some slight cosmetic differences, functionally speaking both lug nuts you mentioned are identical.
Both will fit a 1/2 inch wheel stud with a 20 threads/inch thread pitch, and can be tightened or loosened with a 3/4 inch lug wrench.
