How Often Do I Need To Repack The Wheel Bearings On My Cargo Trailer?
Question:
I have a 2009 5x9 Haulmark cargo trailer. Ive heard small trailers should be greased every 2,000 miles. Is that true?

Wheel bearings should be inspected and grease repacked in the bearings every 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first. This information can be found in both the Haulmark trailers owners manual and we have it in our article which I have linked below. If you have a boat trailer or you run your trailer in extreme hot and cold temperatures I generally recommend inspecting the grease more often to ensure that it is in good condition and quantity.
I recommend the LubriMatic LMX Industrial Strength Grease # L11390 is a great grease that forms a bond to the bearings. It works very well with both extreme hot and cold temperatures and is highly water insoluble.
