Question:

hello i have a 2007 haulmark enclosed trailer with a elixir vent. it looks like your vent # bv0554-01 but i was wondering if part # bv0554-03 will fit also? i was thinking that the smoke vent would let more light in if it fits. thank you

You will first want to measure your vent, not the actual cover on your trailer. The vents are 14-1/2 by 14-1/2 inches, 14 by 14 inches, or 13 by 14 inches, in size.

Then you will want to make sure the correct size cover uses the same type of hinge as shown on the product page. Usually it will be a rolled metal edge, and you will be able to use the picture on our site to compare to your cover..

The item you selected, Ventline Smoke Dome, part # BV0554-03, is a replacement cover for a 14-1/4 by 14-1/4 inch vent. The vent you mentioned, Vent Cover, part # BV0554-01, is also for a 14-1/4 by 14-1/4 inch vent.

A smoked vent cover should allow more light to filter in versus a white vent cover because you can see through the smoked vent cover. A white vent cover you cannot see through, therefore blocking out more light.

Need to replace both the vent cover above my bed and the one in the bathroom on a 2016 .14 Dune Sport Firestorm. I can not find any replacement parts on their web-site. Does anyone know if this will work on mine?

There's a really good chance we have what you need, but I'll need a bit more information on your existing vents to verify the right parts. Trailer manufacture's don't do a great job of keeping track of parts like these, so you'll need to note the size and style of your current assemblies to pick out the right replacement lid. Check out the answer page I linked below and let me know what style you have I will be happy to recommend a good replacement.

Style? They are slightly sloped covers peaking in the middle, similar to BV0554-03. Has about an 1.5 raise. I can not see a hinge but they are crank up units so they must be hinged. I looked everywhere for a company name or model number. Could not find either. The outer edge has not broken away only the interior bubble which measures 15 square - OD so the BV0554-03 at 14.25 looks too small.

Are you able to see what type of hinge it is? You can just check the existing lid for its attachment tab configuration. If you look at the answer page I linked you will see the different types - I would need to know this in order to recommend a good fit.

We don't have a list of what vent covers came on different RVs but what I've found is that a lot of the older trailers are compatible with the Ventline # BV0554-01. You'll need to confirm that the hinge for your vent uses the continuous hinge style that you can see on the product page. If you have something different you can check out the linked article.
