Installing Curt Custom Base Rails On A 2021 GMC 2500HD

Question:

I have a 2021 GMC 2500HD, not a short bed not a long bed. What measurement should I use for installation of the first rail? Thank you!

The 2021 GMC 2500HD's have either a 6-3/4' bed or an 8' foot bed so to install the Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit for Chevy/GMC Truck - Carbide Finish Item # C16429-204 on your 2021 GMC 2500HD you'll measure from the tailgate towards the cab 28.94" for the 6-3/4' bed and 30.87" for the 8' bed. You'll want to follow the measurements of the instructions exactly to ensure the fifth wheel will be centered over the axle.
