Will the Draw-Tite Hitch Extender for 2" Hitch Receivers Work With a Pintle Hitch
Question:
Hello I am wondering if I can use this hitch extender with a flipped adjustable pintle receiver? The Lunette ring on my M1101/1102 trailer is about 36” off the ground and my receiver is about 27-28”. I plan to swap out the tires to reduce the height difference as much as possible. Trailer weight is 1450lbs aluminum. Don’t plan on adding more than 1000 to that with a rooftop tent and coolers camping equipment etc. would this set up work you think?

Expert Reply:
The Draw-Tite Hitch Extender for 2" Hitch Receivers part # HE18 has a 3,500 lb weight capacity or 50% of the hitch capacity, whichever is lower is the figure you'll need to abide by. It can be used with an adjustable pintle hitch no problem.
