Question:

I have a 2018Jeep Renegade and need a load assist system. I am considering the SeaWing and Stinger systems but am worried about the stinger hitting the roof overhang/spoiler on the rear cargo door. Would adding a Thule Waterslide mat under the stinger help? Thanks.

The Malone SeaWing Kayak Carrier with Tie-Downs - Rear Loading # MPG107MD would likely work fine for you as long as you try not to put too much weight on the spoiler of your 2018 Jeep Renegade. It is recommended to use a mat such as the Thule Water Slide Non-Skid Loading Mat # TH854 to prevent scratching your roof. I attached a demonstration video which shows this setup being used on an SUV with rear spoiler.
