Space Between SumoSprings SS68DR & Axle on 2006 Toyota Sequoia When Unloaded
Updated 06/19/2025 | Published 05/27/2021 >
Question:
If possible can you provide the unloaded gap between the bottom of the spring and the top of the axle? Im trying to figure out how this product will affect off-road travel/capability and normal ride quality on the street.

With an unloaded ride on your 2006 Toyota Sequoia, there will be approximately 1 inch of space between the axle and the bottom of the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs # SS68DR.
These are a light capacity helper spring, and if you are off-road without a load in the back, you will feel them engage, but it won't be extremely jarring. With normal driving, however, short of going over a speed bump or pothole or really bad roads, there won't be an issue of these springs affecting your ride quality.
I have added links below to both the installation instructions and a video review for you to check out of the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs # SS68DR.

2016 Lexus GX 460 What would the space be when unloaded with these springs? I know on my Tacoma, these springs did lift it. I’m not wanting this effect on the GX.
