Question:
I am purchasing this one for a `23 Toyota 4Runner but the Sumo Springs were the other recommended option. This one seemed to be recommended as studier and longer lasting and is used for off-road as well. Would these be good or the SumoSpring or is just preference at this point for these to competitor brands? However, I see the other SumoSprings have 1800 vs. 1400 lbs. What is the difference between those two?

Helpful Expert Reply:
The Timbren Active Off-Road Bumpstops part # TABSTORSEQ which are a fit for a 2023 Toyota 4Runner are pretty similar to the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs like part # SS68DR. The Timbrens provide more support but the SumoSprings ride smoother. Therefore, it all comes down to preference and how you'll be using them. I personally prefer the SumoSprings as they offer the best of both worlds, ride quality and support.
The only difference between the SumoSprings part # SS68DR and part # SS78DR is capacity. If you're strictly off-roading, I recommend the lighter duty option.
