Does the braking system work with a motorhome that has aur brakes and a transmission retarder?

The Demco # SM99251 "Stay-N-Play Duo" is designed for tow vehicles with hydraluic brakes. If you have air brakes you will want to use the Demco # DM26VR "Air Force One" braking system for air brakes. Air Force One is a proportional braking system. When you apply the brakes in your motorhome, the system will engage your towed car's brakes at the same time and with the same pressure as those in your motorhome, creating synchronized and proportional braking.
Regarding a transmission retarder, transmission brake, exhaust brake, or "Jake Brake," the brakes on the towed vehicle only work if the inertia sensor detects deceleration AND the the towing vehicles brake pedal is engaged.
