Question:
We have a 2015 Forest River Wolf Pup 16BHS travel trailer. Wed like to replace the steps for easier entry. At present, there are two steps, but the step up is high. How do we measure and what replacement steps would you recommend?

Expert Reply:
The Wolf Pups sit pretty close to the ground. You are likely at the cusp of 2 steps is not enough and three steps may be too many. To measure for replacement steps, first measure the "entry height" which is the height from the ground to the top of the steps mounting flange. Then measure the inside width of the bracket that holds the steps.
If the inside width of your steps mounting bracket is 25-1/2", and your entry height is 18-1/2" to 28", then the TorkLift # TLA8003 will be a good fit. If your measurements are different you can email me back or use the data table on the # TLA8003 product page to select a better fit.
If none of them are just right you might also consider using a Safety Step # SASXLA-09C-G adjustable height step stool rated for 1000 pounds.
Also, if you do not already have one I would highly recommend the Lend-A-Hand # AM-800 grab rail
