The Reese Elite Series fifth wheel rail kit part # RP30868 that fits your 2017 GMC Sierra 2500 is similar to the OEM rail kit your truck could have came with but it is not the exact same so hitches for the OEM rail kit of a GM truck would not fit this. But what is really interesting is this rail kit is the exact same as the Ford OEM rail kit since Reese makes the Ford rail kit so a hitch designed for the Ford rail kit would fit it.
So if you wanted to use the very popular B and W Companion hitch for the Ford rail kits part # BWRVK3305 you certainly could with this rail kit.
