Question:
I have a 2015 Toyota Highlander Limited with the OEM trailer hitch and converter. The converter is located in the back and the factory harness to it has a 12v line on a 30A fuse. Could one simply tap this wire to run 12v to the 7-way plug and then use a wireless brake controller such as Curt 51180?

Expert Reply:
Yes if you have the factory 12 volt accessory wire already ran due to OEM trailer wiring at the rear of your 2015 Toyota Highlander you could use it for the power wire for the # ETBC7L for the Curt Echo part # C51180 and you'd be set. This would be true for any version of a 7-way at the rear of your vehicle
