Question:
I am looking at your Item #HE12. I have a Kuat bike rack with two ebikes that weight 50 per bike. The current rack has anti rattle to limit the bike movement when traveling. With Item HE12 does it have the anti rattle feature or can I purchase a anti rattle part for this extension? Thank you

Expert Reply:
The Hitch Extender For 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver 14" Long # HE12 does not have a built in anti-rattle feature, but you can use the etrailer Anti-Rattle Hitch Stabilizer for 2" Hitches - Vinyl Coated Steel # e99007 to keep the extender from rattling in your trailer hitch receiver, and the anti-rattle pin on your Kuat Bike rack to keep the bike rack from rattling in the extender.
Keep in mind that using a hitch adapter like the # HE12 will reduce the capacities of your trailer hitch receiver by 50% or to 350lbs tongue weight and 3500lb trailer weight, which ever is lower. You will need to make sure that the weight of your bike rack and two 50lb electric bikes does not exceed the reduced capacities of your receiver.
I included videos for both of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
