Trimark Trailer Door Latch With Lock Replacement

Question:

Is the BA64FR the best choice for this size opening. Currently has a Trimark latch with the same lock configuration. The door is 1 1/2 inches thick. What I see on the web site questions and answers is it may take some modification?

The Bauer Products Motorhome Door Lock - Black Item # BA64FR has a cut out dimension of 5-1/4" wide x 4-1/2" tall.
Looking at your pictures it looks like you have a hole with 4-7/8" width x 4-3/4" height dimensions.

You are correct that you'll have to make some modifications so if you're comfortable with cutting the door to fit the dimensions of the Bauer # BA64FR you'll be able to install this door latch.

The Bauer # BA64FR is the best choice for you because there the next smallest latch would require you to fill in the hole and the next highest would require quite a bit more cutting width-wise.
