How To Charge Jeep Battery Through Umbilical While In Tow
Updated 03/31/2021 | Published 03/30/2021 >
Question:
Im using a Blue Ox BX88206 7 to 6 pin from RV to Jeep. I want to run a wire from 12V hot pin on the Jeep connector 6 pin to the battery. Do I need to install an inline fuse to the battery? Since its running 12V from the RV, is the circuit safeinch without fuse? Do you sell this accessory if needed? Thanks...

It sounds like you're wanting to install a battery charge line on the Jeep to charge the battery while in tow and then run that through the 6 to 7-way umbilical. If that's the case we have just what you need, the Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Towed Vehicles part # RM-156-25 which is designed for this exact purpose. It will require the circuit breaker inline to prevent any issue with short circuiting the vehicle battery.
