I left out of my question that I have a Demco Aluminator tow bar already. Is the Blue Ox bracket still the best option? Thanks

We do have a base plate that fits your 2018 GMC Acadia Denali, which is from Blue Ox; I did confirm with the manufacturer that the base plate does fit the Denali, and what you need is the following:

- Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BX1728

This does require the use of certain Blue Ox tow bars in order to properly connect to these base plates, and the one that will work which I recommend due to its long arms, non-binding design and included safety cables is the Blue Ox Alpha 2 Tow Bar # BX7380.

You mentioned a braking system and there is one that I really like for your '18 Acadia, which is the Demco SBS Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System # SM99251.

The reason I like the Demco option is because it is a one-time install so don't have to continually uninstall and re-install like with portable systems, and because it is proportional system which gives you braking equal to that of your motorhome, so it is much smoother than systems that send out a pre-set amount of power.

Along with these parts, you may also need (if you don't have one) a wiring kit, the Roadmaster 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles - 7-Wire to 6-Wire Straight Cord # RM-152-98146-7.

Yes, the best option for your 2018 GMC Acadia Denali will still be the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BX1728, and you will be able to use your Demco Aluminator tow bar, you'll just need an adapter: - Blue Ox Base Plate Adapter Brackets for Roadmaster Tow Bars # BX88151 Though the title says the brackets are for Roadmaster tow bars, they are also designed to work with Demco Aluminator and Excali-bar tow bars, so it is exactly what you need.
