Question:
I need to know if my open eye slipper spring is too long, overloaded, or OK. I have a picture Sonia there somewhere I can send it? Thanks

Thanks for the picture!
The spring shouldn't hit the frame like yours does in the picture, so the correct solution would be to either add a longer front hanger or using a shorter spring.
The correct replacement hanger will be dependent on the width of your spring. If you have a 1-3/4" wide spring the longest hanger we offer is the CE Smith Front Hanger Bracket for Trailer Slipper Springs # CE14016G which is 2-1/4" tall. If you can tell me the width of your current spring and the height of your current front hanger I would be happy to make a recommendation for you.
The other option is a replacement spring, but to make an accurate recommendation I will need to know the weight rating of your axle, and the length of your current spring measured from the center of the spring eye to the end of the spring. For example the 4-Leaf Slipper Spring w/ Open Eye End for 4,300-lb Trailer Axles - 26-1/4" Long # e33SR is for 4300lb axles, is 1-3/4" wide, and measures 26-1/4" from the center of the spring eye to the end of the spring as shown in the included diagram.
If you can confirm the length and width of your current spring, or the width of your current spring and height of your front hanger I would be happy to go over specific options to correct the issue.
I included a video for each of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
