Question:
I’ve got a tandem axel dump trailer That is ready for the axels to be set. If my leaf springs are 30.25” from eye to eye how do I determine the overall length from center of axel to center of axel. Also have 8” equalizer

I would be happy to help you figure out the axle spacing when installing your axles on your dump trailer.
Since you are using a 30-1/4" double eye spring we do not have an exact axle spacing measurement as that is quite a bit longer than the springs we typically use so you will need to mock up the hangers and axles and see what works for that length spring.
Your hanger spacing will likely be around 34" which would give you an axle spacing of around 39". The most important thing is that you have at least 2" between the front and rear tire. You will also want to make sure that your axle placement allows 10% tongue weight of the trailer.
I included a link to a few helpful articles on axle placement and double eye trailer suspension for you to take a look at.
