Recommended Hand Winch for 3K Boat and Trailer

Question:
Looking for a new hand which for a 3,000 lb boat . Just wanted to know which one you guys recommend . Looking for one with a strap and do I need a brake or not. It’s going on a boat trailer. Thanks.

I do recommend using a brake hand winch for a boat trailer. The Single-Speed Boat Trailer Winch part # 315-W2000D is a great cost effective option with included strap and brake. It also has a neutral freewheel so you can let line out without the handle spinning.
