Purpose of Small Pin of Rhino Rack Roof Rack # RRSX032 for 2017 Hundai Santa Fe

Question:
Can I cut the small pin on the RRsx032 so That I can slide the cross bars and place any where I want them? or at least the cut off the back clamp Will they still be scure? I just want to be able to adjust beyond the three holes in the rails.

The pins that attach the # RRSX032 to the rails of your 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe are a key component to the rack attaching to the vehicle roof securely. You will need to keep them intact.
