Question:
Im in the process of building an trailer for pulling with an ATV. We travel on some steep mountain grades and am wanting to add brakes to the project. Unfortunately I just found out about you guys as I already have the Rop Shop BT8 hub and spindles welded to my walking tandems and installed. In addition I have 12x 6 1 offset rims with 4 on 4 bolt pattern. What do I need for drums, assemblies, and accessories to add electric brakes at this point. Thank you,

The first thing you'll need to do is weld-on a brake mounting flange like the Brake Mounting Flange part # 4-34 to the spindle. Then, you can obtain new braking assemblies, the Electric Trailer Brake Kit part # AKEBRK-2. In order to use these, you'll also need new hubs/drums as well for which I recommend the Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly part # AKHD-545-2-1K. The 7" hub/drum assemblies are only available in the 5 on 4-1/2" pattern.
