Question:
I employ a 1990 Wilderness Yukon with tandem 3000 lb Hayes axles with 10inch X 1-5/8inch brake assembly and hubs with 5 on 4-1/2inch spread. I saw your 10inch x 1-1/2inch brake assembly but with a 4 bolt backside. The existing mounting plates dont have the bolt pattern that your assembly does. However, can this plate be modified to accept these brakes with the precision drilling of holes to the mounting plate to match the pattern of your brake assembly??

So the short answer is no, there is nothing you can do to your current mounting plate to make another braking assembly fit your current setup. What you have is pretty unique, and when the team and myself took a look at it we were all in agreement that the best step forward is to cut of your current flange and weld on a new one.
Now this is a pretty intensive project and is going to require a special jig that is designed specifically for this, so this isn't something you're going to be able to do in your garage.
You're going to have to take it to a weld shop or mechanic's shop and have them do the heavy lifting, so to speak.
For mounting flanges, we do have a variety for you to choose from, you're just going to have to measure the diameter of your axles and choose the one that matches.
For 3-1/2 inch axles: # 4-50
For 3 inch axles: # DM52415
For 2-3/8 inch axles: # 4-35
For 2-3/4 inch axles: # DM60124
For 1-3/4 inch axles: # 4-34
Finally, for braking assemblies you can use the Dexter Electric Trailer Brake Kit # K23-472-473-00. These braking assemblies measure 10" x 1 1/2", will work with 13" to 15" wheels, and fits axles with a rating of 3,000 lbs.
