Question:
Hi Etrailer Team, I have a 2003 Karavan boat trailer with a failed brake actuator. The actuator part# is Fulton A60, and it is obsolete. I saw that you had a few replies to similar inquiries so I was wondering if you could help send me in the right direction for a fix. It is a swing away style hitch with the hinge pin bracket welded to the boat side of the trailer. The tube dimensions on the boat side are 3” width x 4” height. Thanks in advance for any and all info! Best Regards

You are correct that the Fulton A60 surge brake actuator is a discontinued part, and that you will need to replace the entire unit.
I recommend the Titan Zinc-Plated Brake Actuator # T43397007K which will work with the 3" wide tongue on your trailer, and will allow you to use a 1-7/8", 2", or 50mm hitch ball. This actuator is for drum brakes and for trailers weighing up to 7000lbs.
If you do not have free backing brakes and need a reverse lockout solenoid you can use # T4748800.
I included a video of the for each of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
