Will Universal MightyMounts Work on 1-1/2 Inch Round Crossbars

Question:

Question about a specific product couldnt find the ask a question option on the product page to ask it there - this is related to the universal mighty mounts for yakima accessories product #Y03590. I know they are designed to work on aero-style roof bars, rather than round bars. Do you know if they will be sufficiently secure on round bars? I have cross-bars that are round, but 1.5 diameter. I cannot find a mount adapter that will work on 1.5 bars all the yakima adapters are designed for max of 1 round bars. Thanks in advance.

Yes, you can use the Universal MightyMounts for Yakima Roof Mounted Accessories # Y03590 with your 1-1/2 inch diameter round bars, as they are compatible with both aero, square, and round crossbars. I have reached out to Yakima before regarding the use of these on round bars and they said that they will fit, but it is possible the fit wouldn't be the best and may roll a bit, but they are capable of working with round bars.
