Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this Yakima Replacement RoundBar adapter. This is going to replace the RoundBar adapter for Yakima Spin Vice mounting hardware. Will allow you to use a Yakima kayak carrier, bike rack, rooftop tent, standup paddleboard carrier or wheel carrier that has the spin vice mounting clamps. This will fit with the Yakima kayak carriers the bike rack tents, standup paddleboard carrier and bike wheel carrier that you see on the screen there.
So if you have any of those models that you can trust this is going to be exactly what you need, being that this is a direct replacement from Yakima. So you don't have to worry about compatibility issues or anything like that, is going to fit right in place of that original to get your carrier functional again so that you can enjoy your time outdoors. I can't recommend this product for someone trying to attach Yakima Sweet Roll kayak carriers to a round bar, especially if you are trying to carry a heavy fishing kayak. It does not matter how tight you get them, they will roll back and flip upside when under the weight.

Bought these adapters to mount the Harlow kayak racks on. Haven’t purchased my racks yet but am not anticipating any problems w/these. Easy to order & great info available about exactly what I would need to purchase. Great video available to walk you thru mounting process. Well done!

They are not a good solution. Yakima did not fit them to a round bar at well at all and the kayak holders spin. Very disappointing for the year long delivery to finally receive them and the expensive price for them.

We don't have the # Y96KR at our local warehouse right now and Yakima doesn't have any dimensions available. What I can tell you is that it is designed to clamp onto bars with a diameter of 1-1/8" so the measurement be slightly larger.

Actually ended up mounting my Yakima JayLow kayak racks to my Load Warrior Basket using the adapters. Worked out perfectly. Simple install & haven’t had an issue yet. Great custy service & help wquestions I had about matching up components. Thanks a bunch.
