To flat tow your 2017 Subaru Impreza, there are a couple of components you will need. They are the base plate, the tow bar, the safety chains, the wiring for you lights, and a brake system.

For your base plate, I recommend the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate, part # RM-52927-5. This tow bar can stay mostly hidden for when you are not towing. This is for a manual transmission.

For the tow bar, I recommend the Roadmaster Falcon 2, part # RM-520. This is perfectly compatible with the base plate above and connects to the 2" receiver of your motorhome. I've linked to a video review of this for you.

For the safety chains, I recommend the RoadMaster 68" Single Hook, part # RM-643. They have a 6000-pound capacity. I've linked to the video review of this one as well.

You need to have the lights working on your Impreza, so you need a wiring system. I recommend the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 4-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit, part # RM-15247. I've linked to a video review of this, too.

Finally, for the braking system, I recommend the only non-Roadmaster part of this setup, the Blue-Ox Patriot # BLU37TR. It's one of our most highly-rated braking systems and well-loved around here. I've linked to a video review of this, of course.
