I’m wondering if there is a basket that mounts directly to my factory roof rails. 2019 Jeep renegade upland.

There is one! It is called the Surco Safari Rack 5.0 for Raised Factory Rails # SPS5060-1101. It's size 60" x 50" which is the size Surco recommended for your 2019 Jeep Renegade.
This system is a complete basket with sides and comes with adapters that clamp straight to your factory roof rails. I attached a video below with our review and explanation of the basket.
It is similar to the very popular Yakima LockNLoad Platform Rack # Y05045. The LockNLoad platform though still needs separate SL Adapters # Y05042 and the TimberLine Towers # Y33TR to complete the system.
If I had to choose between the two, I prefer the Surco Safari Rack due to how it's the whole package. It is a full basket with side rails and uses a simple clamp to mount straight to your factory side rails. You can also mount accessories like a spare tire carrier # SPST100 or a light mounting bracket # SPLT100 to this basket.
