The Surco Safari Rack 5.0 Rooftop Cargo Basket for Factory Rails listed below all come with adapters that clamp around factory raised rails. They just grip the rails then bolt into the bottoms of the baskets.

So I bought those clamps to confirm if they would work before ordering the rack and they do not clamp to the rails of the touring model per the provided instructions. The clamps do not make proper contact to secure to the factory silver rails.

@Matthew The silver rails aren't raised. The Surco Safari Rack 5.0 Rooftop Cargo Baskets only attach to raised or elevated rails not flush mount ones. You will want to add a set of crossbars and a different style of cargo basket since your Outback doesn't have the raised rails.
