Question:
Hello, Id like to add a 7-way trailer outlet and brake controller to my 1999 Toyota 4Runner. It currently has factory hitch and 4-way outlet. Can you recommend the parts Id need? Thanks for your time.

We can get you set up with the right parts to add a 7-way to your 1999 Toyota 4Runner. Since you already have a 4-way like part # 118341, there is only a couple other things you need, with the first being the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7.
This kit will give you the 7-way, circuit breakers, and rest of the hardware needed for installation of the trailer brake controller.
After that, the only other thing you'd need is the brake controller and harness, and for that I highly recommend the the Brke EVN # TK63VR.
I really like the I-Command because it is a great value due to its unique combination of quality and cost-effectiveness. The I-Command is going to give you smooth braking, is easy to use, and has a bright display that is simple to read and understand. For a combination of quality, reliability, and price, there really isn't a better option for a brake controller.
To install the I-Command in your 4Runner, you will also need the Brake Control Harness # 20127.
