Are the iN-Command TPMS Sensors Compatible with the Chevy Silverado 3500 Smart System

Updated 05/12/2025 | Published 11/20/2020

Question:

I’m looking for an alternative tire monitoring system that might work with my grand design solitude and my 2020 Chevy Silverado 3500. Meaning the truck system might pick up the 4 trailer tires without and extra monitor... but uses my Chevy system built into the truck. I saw this question and answer on line. Is the nctp100 what I’m looking for or is there another option? Will these sensors show up on the display in the pickup as an I command accessory? asked by: Josh H Expert Reply: Yep! The iN-Command RV Tire Pressure Monitoring System # NCTP100 was designed to be compatible with the iN-Command setup you have on the center console of your 2020 Chevy Silverado 2500 so it will be visible on your trucks display.

Yes; you are looking for the iN-Command TPMS for RVs, Trailers, and Vehicles - Bluetooth - 4 Waterproof Tire Sensors # NCTP100, which is compatible with Chevy's smart trailer integration. It's a really great feature that Chevy has been working on for a while because of their popularity with people who tow heavy trailers, and iN-Command has come up with a great solution that will allow you to use an external TPMS system with your in dash screen-no additional monitor is required.

Do you have to scan the sensors with any type of tool to get them to sync up with integrated trailer package on a 2022 Chevrolet High 3500 HD?

@Mark I'm not sure where Eric got his info from, but it is incorrect so I've disabled this answer page from showing up in search results anymore. I reached out to my contact for the iN-Command TPMS kit and they said "The TPMS system is designed to pair with an app on the phone.  If his dash monitor has car play he will be able to open the app on his screen and view the readings.  It will not pair or communicate with just the screen though." I know there are a few brands online that are designed to work with an OEM screen, but that's how they're marketed, so they'll be fairly easy to find with an internet search. Sorry for any confusion!
