Question:
I am purchasing a Forest River XLR 21QBS toy hauler. The dry weight is 6500, dry tongue weight is 995, and GVW is 10,500. I am estimating the load weight will be around 9500. I am towing with 2018 F150 Crew Cab 4x4 with a tow rating of 10,900. What weight distribution hitch would you recommend? Thanks

The ideal weight distribution system has tongue weight capacity range that encompasses 10 to 15 percent of the gross trailer weight when it is loaded and ready to tow. You can use a scale like # e99044 and I attached a link if you need a guide for measuring the actual tongue weight once you've purchased and loaded the trailer. For your trailer, 10 to 15 percent of the gross trailer weight (9500 lbs) is 950 to 1,425 pounds. Your dry tongue weight is already at 995, so let's lean towards 1.2k lbs TW once loaded.
The Blue Ox TrackPro # BLU59FR is a great option with a tongue weight range of 1,000-1,300 lbs. If you find your tongue weight is around ~1,150 lbs, this system is ideal for you. It is very user friendly and comes with all the necessary equipment like an adjustable shank and a 2-5/16" ball mount. You can also pick up a 2" ball mount like # A-90 if needed. I have included a link to the installation details for you to view.
