will this bearing fit my oil bathed 12000# dexter axels

The Replacement Trailer Hub Bearing # 3984 has an inner diameter of 2.625", so it's possible that it will work on your 12,000-lbs Dexter axle, but you'll need to know what bearings are in your hubs to confirm this is the correct replacement bearing. This bearing is designed to fit in Dexter hubs with part numbers: 8-216-5, 8-214-8, 8-217-5 and 8-272-5; the only hub we currently have available out of that group is the 8-214-8 with part # Dexter Trailer Idler Hub Assembly for 12,000-lb Axles - 8 on 6-1/2 - Oil Bath # 8-214-8UC1 (which is an oil bath hub). If this is the same hub you've got, then this would be the correct replacement inner bearing.
With all of that said, your best bet is going to be to pull the hubs off the axle and check to see what bearings you've got in your hubs, since it's possible that there might be a different bearing. I've linked a helpful article that details potential bearings that you might find in your hub, or how to measure the spindle if you can't find any markings on the bearings in your hub.
