For your Demco Channel Tongue Trailer Coupler part # DM13203-52 I recommend using the etrailer Surge Brake Coupler Lock part # e98888. This is designed to place through the coupler pin hole just under the latch and keep it from being able to operate. This will prevent it from opening or closing eliminating any issues.
If you want complete coupler coverage the etrailer Trailer Coupler Lock for Flat Lip 2-5/16" Ball Coupler part # e98895 is an excellent choice.
They are both very easy to use and operate. I have included the videos I made on both of them for you to check out. As a side note both of the could be used at the same time if you wanted to add redundancy to your protection.
