Question:
It does not do any good for the coupler to lock to the ball if all you have to do is remove the entire coupler. The pin holding the coupler in the sleeve needs to be a locking pin. What would be your recommendation. I was looking at InfiniteRule Hitch Lock for Gen-Y Gooseneck Coupler w/ 4inch Round Tube - Stainless Steel # 34065041

The B&W Defender Locking Gooseneck Coupler Inner Tube - Round - 2-5/16" Ball - 25,000 lbs # BWGNC4250 would require an incredible lifting height of the trailer steadily straight up to release a trailer when locked at the coupler to the hitch ball. That is the only reason it doesn't come with the locking pin you referenced.
The InfiniteRule Hitch Lock for Gen-Y Gooseneck Coupler w/ 4" Round Tube - Stainless Steel # 34065041 would be a great fit. It is a 3/4 inch diameter lock that has a 4-7/8 inch inside span. This is a direct fit for a gooseneck coupler. This is my recommendation for you to have that additional peace of mind.
We also have 2 locking pin options that can work even though they are not a specified gooseneck locking pins. The Blue Ox Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock - 5/8" Diameter # BX88212 has a useable span of 4-3/8 inches and the Curt Lock Set for Adjustable Channel-Style Mounts # C23556 has a pin that is 4-1/4 inches usable length that is also 5/8 inch diameter. You can use the sleeve from the # 63258 pin to give you a 3/4 inch diameter.
