Solera RV Slide-Out Awning Bracket Dimensions and Attachment Instructions

Question:
I have a 2020 Grand Design 2500RL that I’m looking to install this awning on. I thought there had been a dimensioned photo of the bracket that attaches to the slide out, but I’m no longer seeing it. I have approximately 2 1/2” from the top of the freezer vent panel and the inside edge of the Slide edge trim. Is this sufficient space to mount the bracket? Also, what type of screws are used to attach the bracket to the fiberglass on the slide? I’m concerned about getting enough ‘bite’ with the attachment of the bracket so it isn’t coming loose over time.

I have linked the photo I believe you are speaking of. The bracket on the Solera RV Slide-Out Awning part # LCV000182037 is right at 2" which should allow you to mount it in the space you have. We have always used the supplied fasteners which are threaded screws and have had zero issues.
Using butyl tape like part # 362BT-18x1-50 also helps out in sealing the holes you create but acts as a slight buffer and helps keep any wiggling or movement to a minimum.
