Question:
12 inch to 13 inch 4 bolt hubs. Can I get my boat trailer tires upgrade to a 13 inch 4 bolt rim
asked by: Jon G
Expert Reply:
Sure, you can go from 12 inch to 13 inch wheels and tires on your boat trailer that has 4-bolt hubs. You just want to be sure to maintain 3" of clearance from the top of the tire to your fender and at least 1" of clearance between the inside of the tire and your trailer's frame rail.
If you have that you can choose from the following wheels and tires for your boat trailer, depending on the load capacity you need, and they measure 24" in diameter and 6.6" wide.
- Load Range B (1,100 lbs capacity per tire): Loadstar ST175/80D13 Bias Trailer Tire with 13" Galvanized Wheel - 4 on 4 # AM3S040
- Load Range C (1,360 lbs capacity per tire): Loadstar ST175/80D13 Bias Trailer Tire with 13" Galvanized Wheel - 4 on 4 # AM3S130
I have added links below to video reviews of both wheel and tire combos for you to check out as well if you'd like.
