Question:
The Pro Series weight distribution system I presently have has a 750 lb weight. Is there a different weight to allow 1150 lbs? I'm considering a new trailer and that is what it calls for. Thank you.

There are some great options for using a weight distribution hitch with your new trailer. I recommend the Reese Weight Distribution System # RE44FR. This WD system is rated for 1,150 lbs tongue weight and can tow up to 11,500 lbs. Check out the video linked below for more details.
However, your 1,150 tongue weight rating for your trailer might be for just the empty trailer and not fully loaded. In that case, you need a higher tongue weight capacity system, such as the Curt MV Weight Distribution System # C17063. This has a tongue weight rating of 1,000 lbs - 1,400 lbs.
Either way, make sure you know the tongue weight of your fully loaded trailer so you can pick the appropriate weight distribution system. I linked an article below on how to determine your trailer tongue weight.
Note you might also have to upgrade your trailer hitch if it is also not rated high enough for your new trailer. If so, I recommend the Curt # C35CR which has a 1,200 lbs tongue weight capacity when used with a WD system.
You could also replace your existing spring bars with higher-rated bars, if the new bars fit your current WD head.
