Recommended Air Bag Suspension System for a 2022 GMC Sierra 3500

Question:

Currently have timbrens on my 22 Denali 3500 dually diesel with a 4000 pound approx big foot slide in camper, and the bouncing in the back is horrible. Center of gravity is over the fifth wheel pin, can’t go any more forward or can’t open rear doors without extending dually brackets, that being said will airbags help with this situation?

Sorry to hear about all the discomfort. There is a set of air bags for your 2022 Sierra 3500 Denali that will address the problems you are encountering. I recommend the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs - Double Convoluted item # F2613.

These offer 5,000 lbs of support so you will have plenty of capacity for your Big Foot slide in camper and your 5th wheel trailer. The Firestones are compatible with in-bed hitches. This system may require using the same holes on your frame as your 5th wheel does. If this is the case you will want to use the hardware from the 5th wheel bracket kit.

I also recommend adding the Firestone Air Command II item # F2219. This onboard air compressor system will allow you to adjust the PSI on your air springs from the comfort of your cab. This dual path compressor gives you the ability to adjust the pressure of your springs individually to allow you to compensate for off center loads.
