Can i mount my license plate on this carrier and I will need a riser of some sort because of ground clearance. Can you recommend one? Thanks

If you wanted to mount your license plate to the Curt Cargo Carrier part # C18113 you could but we don't have a specific way to do so. You could attach something like the part # LP35BB to it if you'd be willing to modify the carrier.
Now that said we've found that when license plates are obscured by cargo carriers like this police officers generally are not bothered enough to pull people over and give them a hard time.
Using a rise adapter to try and gain more ground clearance isn't the best way to accomplish this as it cuts the capacity of the hitch by 50 percent. A better solution would be a carrier that has a rise built into the carrier like the part # e98874 that has a 2" rise, the # 63153 that has a 2-1\2" rise, or the enclosed carrier # 595021 that has a 5 1/2" rise.
