Question:

Hello, I recently bought a used Karavan boat trailer. I am looking to replace the bearings but am having trouble finding the grease seal.. are you able to assist? The specs are as follows for bearing parts... BEARING CONE 1.0625inch L44649 1-1/16inch BEARING RACE L44610 BEARING CONE 1.375inch L68149 1-3/8inch BEARING RACE L68110 UFP SEAL 1.75inch I.D. 2.56inch O.D. 17255TB Every time I try to search the 17255TB I get results for 171255 which appears to be 1.719inch I.D. which isn't the same. Do you have the 17255 or do you have a compatible part? Thanks!

The correct part for your 17255TB grease seal is # RG06-050. If you are measuring your existing grease seal, you need to be using a caliper. This is because the measurements of these bearing parts have incredibly tight tolerances down to thousandths of an inch. Using a tape measure or ruler might be giving you the 1-3/4" ID measurement you are coming up with.
