Question:
I purchased this clamp but had no luck installing it. Tried the rubber mallet option that other users had indicated was necessary for their installation, but no luck for mine. Graduated to a more persuasive hammer option, but still no luck. I have a 2inch hitch shank and receiver, but this just didnt seem to leave enough space to fit. Any suggestions for other options to make this work? If not, any suggestions for a similar items that might be more successful? Thanks.

The Gen-Y anti-rattle device you mentioned part # GY88XR does have a reputation as fitting really tightly. Some people report that using a hammer works for them, but I personally wouldn't want to mess with all of that. A U-bolt style anti-rattle like the part # RSCP would be an easier option that would be just as effective.
